Ron has practiced with the firm since 1989 and has been a partner since 1996. His practice emphasizes workers’ compensation defense representing employers, insurers, and self-insured employers in Oregon. He served as budget committee chair on the Oregon Self-Insurers Association (OSIA) Board 2006-2008. Ron has been very active in the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Oregon State Bar, having served as chair in 2001, on the Executive Committee, and as co-chair of the Salishan CLE Committee. Ron is co-author of the Claim Closure Chapter in the Workers’ Compensation CLE (1994 and revised 2000), co-author of the Workers’ Compensation Chapter in the Oregon State Bar CLE 2001 Oregon legislative highlights, and author of the Claim Closure Chapter in the Workers’ Compensation CLE (2008 revision).

On May 19, 2006, Ron was awarded the Douglas W. Daughtry Award of Merit by the Oregon State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. This award is given for commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and willing adherence to the highest ethical standards while making outstanding contributions to the Workers’ Compensation Section and the hearing process.

Ron has been honored in Cambridge Who’s Who as a lifetime member 2006-2007. He was recognized as Professional of the Year representing law by Cambridge Who’s Who for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009.
